Due to the extension of the state of emergency in Tokyo, we have arranged an online exhibition platform for our current exhibition Aperture—Penetrating a Gaze by Toshihiro Komatsu, to allow our guests to safely enjoy the exhibition at home.
The exhibition features two series by Komatsu, SCOPE and CT, and is the very first occasion Komatsu's works are introduced by a commercial gallery in Japan. (Car parking is available right in front of the gallery, and we also have stocks of surgical face-masks available upon request.)
We look forward to welcoming our guests in secure and comfortable circumstances. We hope you enjoy the online presentation of Komatsu's works. Stay home, stay inspired!

Ai Iwane, who presented the solo exhibition KIPUKA—Island in My Mind at KANA KAWANISHI PHOTOGRAPHY in 2018, has won this year's Kimura Ihei Photography Award!
Iwane continuously has visited Hawaii since 2006, and Fukushima since 2013 for the project KIPUKA, which she has won the award with. The two locations, which may seem to have no relations at first sight, deeply resonate in the past through the culture of Bon Dance. Commuting to the two locations, Iwane fructified her 12 years of research into her first monograph KIPUKA in 2018 (Seigensha Art Publishing).
